International Competition Heats Up

There was plenty of action again in the international segment of play on Wednesday.

On the women's side, the squad from Poland edged the Americans, 29-27. The Americans were helped by some of the Belarusian women, while the Polish team had a couple of Americans who have become Polish. And the officials were...anyway.

In one of the men's games, the Ukrainians raced out to a huge first-half lead, holding a 27-2 advantage en route to a 52-26 drubbing of Team USA. A boisterous crowd lifted the spirits of the Ukrainians throughout the contest, at least until they got bored with the one-sided affair.

In the other men's match, Lithuania 1 held off Poland, 58-50.
