Why Here?

You may wonder why we're doing a blog at basketball camp. Well, it's because basketball is a "spiritual endeavor." We have a video that will explain it, but we're having some difficulty loading it. If we are able to accomplish it, you'll get more detail.

In the meantime, here are some statistics that should leave you convinced, even though basketball was not invented until 1891. First, the term "basket" is listed 48 times in the NIV Bible (in English). That's how many minutes there are in an NBA game. Coincidence? We think not.

If you add the 11 times that the term "game" appears in the Bible, and then add the astonishing number of times (524) that the term "win" or "winning" appears, and there are 583 times that "game-winning shot" can be referenced. That can't just be by accident.

Interestingly, the term "offense" appears 32 times, while "defense" or "defend" appears 70 times combined. Surely God knows that "defense wins championships."

There can be no question that basketball was designed by God, and that's why we're producing this blog.
